if we have dev mode, surely we can make an app that gets run on dev mode and adds unsigned code to the bootup files, so when you go back to regular, it will boot up with the unsigned code?

Retail Mode and Dev Mode run in separate environments... There is NO way that you could push an exploit between the 2 because they DON'T COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER... It's a great thought, but literally impossible... Plus, the Xbox one checks for license verification every time you open an app or game, thus you could never run your exploit even if you could push it through to Retail Mode... Dev Mode is a blessing, because we don't need to "hack the Xbox" to run Homebrew, emulators, and a crapton of UWP games and apps that work great! Thanks to everyone here that supports the scene!

Maybe one day the RSA Key will be "leaked" by the 2 People at M$ that hold it close to them and we will be able to sign our hombrew for retail use. But the odds of that happening are so extremely low :/

For now, that is probably the most correct answer. But every system in the entire world is hackable, and there is no perfect system, so one day, it will (most likely) be hacked.
