Apparently, there are some conflicts into trying to integrate this patch into the Plus +, so until that's solved, we won't have a Plus + translation

1. open a command prompt window
2. type cd
3. type a space after CD
4. drag and drop the folder where is located your roms into the command window (it will write the path to that folder automatically in the command prompt window)
5. type Press enter key on your keyboard


rename your rom to LovePlus.nds and type that in the command line:
xdelta patch LovePlusV09_20111104.patch LovePlus.nds LovePlus_patched.nds
press enter, it "should" work.

I know the patch works and like said before it might be the rom that is jacked up I know cuz it happened to me the first one I tried and Ive seen some prepatched for download the prepatched can be used again to patch it with the full translation and doesnt crash if you do the xdelta gui where it gives you the option for patch and rom then you wait a few seconds for it to patch and to see if it works try nene side since the prepatched one had less translation on her hope it helped

By geroge I think we did it I just tried it again after re downloading every single file and it worked it created a fully patched rom 256mb and all My full thanks go to all that helped me on my endeavor to play this game

You are following the tuto "too correctly", though I never said "press enter" after "type enter", but you did it.

you could have correct it yourself by trying to press enter (I put it on another line to separate it from what you have to write and sending the command line with enter key on the keyboard.

Thanks for your help but I managed to get it work with the first solution you gave me with the bat file by downloading the files over again

also a note if anyone wants to add cheats ok this was tricky, codes do not recognize the patched love plus so I needed a clean one then i enabled the gallery cheats after I saved then deleted the rom after I used the patched one again and renamed the sav. file to match the one with the English patch after that nothing has gone wrong hope it helps

Or you need to edit the patches database to include the new "GameID", or replace the old one with the new one.
Games are recognized by a specific checksum (not CRC32) so that trimmed roms are recognized correctly.

I don't have the name of the program in mind, but you could find it on cheating forum (http://cheats.gbatemp.net/) or by doing a research here.

Be careful when you use cheat codes.

I don't know much about how the codes work, but I think it will change some values in the ROM, most likely some values in arm9.bin. But in the patched version, we changed a lot of things in arm9.bin. So the cheat codes that were made for the Japanese version might not work perfectly with the English patched version. Sometimes your game can be seriously malfunctioned after you applied cheat codes and the damage might not be recoverable.

I have warned everyone about this so many times, but I think I should emphasize it again. It's pretty risky to use cheat codes on the patched game, but if you really want to use cheat codes, back up your game and your save file first. In case something goes wrong, you can return to the old version.

Slightly related to Love Plus overall... the 3DS love plus will be released in Japan on Feb 14, 2012. Its title is 'New Love Plus'

I wonder if Konami will even consider translating it at all.

is there any other programs to use to apply the patch? I can't use the program from the patching instructions on this computer ( I'm on a public computer and can't install Microsoft .Net framework 2.0).

You can use the command line instead of the GUI.
The GUI program is written in C# (and require net framework), but the patcher works also without a Graphical User Interface.

You should have a xdelta.exe in the folder.
You need to launch it using a command window and provide information to patch the ROM manually.

xdelta patch LovePlusV09_20111104.patch "4152 - Love Plus (J)(Independent).nds" "4152 - Love Plus (J)(Independent)_patched.nds"

If you can't run the GUI or install net framework, then you'll have to learn how to use command lines.

mhm I have backed up my data and so far no glitch whatsoever even time traveling won't affect it and the cheats have been on the second .sav since 2 months I'll report to ya if it crashes and how if it should occur

I used max action & max stats cheat codes, then clear Nene's route (became her boyfriend)
When i was on real time mode, sometimes it recommend me to call her for the date. But i couldn't select anything on phone screen (include "invite to a date" option). And when i clicked "back" to choice other options, it was always tell me should call her and repeat like that. It was make me restart the ds, then and got her angry@@
