Hacking Cobra ODE 5.20c

I have the feeling that this particular model of Cobra ODE (5.20c) is very dead. I haven't found guides or tutorials for this very easily.
I went ahead and made a compilation of all the required files.

Cobra ODE 5.20c Files

This contains...

• Firmware v2.4
• Bootloader v1.3
• MCU v2.0
• The file structure for your HDD (COBRA and PS3_GAMES)
• cobra.db (05-03-2015 and 28-02-2014)
• Many manuals for software and hardware
• Miscellaneous files like ISO Generator (GenPS3iso)

Troubleshooting:

• Q: My PS3 freezes after I have installed my Cobra ODE

Make sure that all the cables are plugged in 100% correctly to the ODE and vice versa. This caused the freezing after a disc was being read.
Also check the QSB is soldered correctly. It is a no-brainer, but really noteworthy. If you have EMU-QSB, check your solder work as well.

For those under OFW 4.55, please proceed reading.
Holy moly. This one is very tricky. Make sure that your cobra.cfg, looks like this:

eject.on_selection=1
manager.type=browser
eject.add_menu=1​

If you want to make your own game folder to an ISO, make sure that...

1. PS3_UPDATE folder is empty
2. PARM.SFO is same or below your current PS3 firmware
3. EBOOT.BIN is properly resigned to 3.55 and for 'ODE'

Also remove your internet connection.
Sometimes the boot disc matters, so try various games. Mine worked with Metal Gear Solid 4 and Virtua Fighter 5.
If all of this didn't work, perhaps consider rechecking your QSB soldering. Worst case scenario, buy a new ODE. With a bit of research you may find one for ~30$.

PS.: I can't answer any question. I just compiled this from my trial-and-error run.
