Hacking Chrono Trigger can't open cheat menu.

Hey everyone, first time here but I've been trying to get Chrono Trigger up and running on my R4. I followed several steps to put the usrcheat file with the portal-anti-piracy-problem fix in the system folder using cheat code editor or something by yasu. Now apparently all I have to do is activate the cheat from the cheat menu, but for some reason I cannot. The box which prompts you to press Y at the bottom to open the cheat menu is not there (it is for other games like PW1&3) and the portal problem is still there.

What type of Firmware are you using?

I think the guide i followed said to install firmware 1.8. I'm not sure what "types" exist though.

No, I mean, Are you using ysmenu, Wood R4, or Something else?

1.18 is where the original R4's software stopped updating.

Use Wood instead.
