Hi all

My daughter has a chromebook and it's all setup with parental restrictions and works fine when in use.

The issue is loging in. When she tries to login to her account on the chromebook it asks for the parental code (via the family link app) and then after entering this code it also asks me to sign in under the parent account (my Google account) to let her in (option for her to login without the code or parental permission is on but doesn't seem to work).

After that I get an email saying she's logged into a new chromebook, despite the chromebook being setup with her account as the owner of the device and having used it for months. Been like it since new and googling the issue hasnt shown any helpful things.

Would be best if she can just login to the chromebook using her account and no need for parental permission but can't figure it out.

Anyone have any guidance on what to do?

Thanks

My guess is the chromebook is on another google account. So you have to login everytime and give her access.
The way to fix that is to setup the chromebook onto her account.
Anyways if you could film the boot process it would confirm and we can help some more.
Google is not as advanced in the parental control area (vs Apple) but at least they have it now and it works.
