Homebrew CHMM - Custom HomeMenu Manager

Very, very nice tool. That´s my most used hombrew on my 3DS.
But i discovered one "bug". You can only have 32 themes on your SD card. If you have more, CHMM starts and freeze with a blackscreen.
Not a big issue. I deleted unused themes and CHMM works like it should.

(i know:"no one needs 33 themes on the 3DS." )

I tested it with more than 50 themes inserted in SD Card and it works fine for me. Strange. Maybe it's a preview issue: How many MBs you reach with all previews?

I dont use previews.

Oh good, thought that was just happening to me. Still seems pretty random whether it works or not and has nothing to do with non-ASCII characters as you may first think.

Maybe the problem is caused by Preview system. I can make a Light Version without Preview Feature.

Maybe. I haven't used previews yet myself.

Can you upload me your actual theme folder which cause hb freezing? I want to try a thing.

Hey, I'm an absolute newbie in Homebrew and have some trouble using custom themes.

I'm using 3DSX, so I have to put my Themes folder in the same folder as CHMM.3DSX in order to get it going.

When I start CHMM, there is my Theme, but the Top Screen ist just white (the Theme is displayed as ThemeName.PNG)

I'm using a .PNG with size of 1060x660px.

What I'm doing wrong? I've read something with .BGM and preview.PNG, but so far I'm not able to figure out how it works until yet.

Are you doing the folder placement right? You have to put the theme inside a folder.

Say if you have a theme A
body_watever.lz
preview.png
These files would have to be inside a folder, inside the folder 'Themes'

So as far I got in my themes folder (called "Themes") just the preview.PNG
The size of preview.PNG is not relevenant, right?

How do I get a .LZ file? Just call it .LZ?

No. Did you know how a custom theme is done?

A custom theme is not made by only a PNG file.

I guess, if you want it done right, do it yourself. It's the developer's homebrew, and it is their work so :/

It's absolutely rinnegatamante's prerogative to dismiss requests by the community to improve usability without reason or explanation.

But I've come to the same conclusion; if rinnegatamante's application doesn't meet the community's needs, then we need a new solution that does.
