Hacking Cheat Help

Today I tried to update my acekard 2i's cheat database. I downloaded the USRCHEAT.DAT from cheats.gbatemp.net and put in my cheats folder in __aio.
I tried to see if any cheats worked on games and they didnt. What am I supposed to do next?

Find the .CC files (forgot what folder they're in) and delete them all (those are a cache of codes from the older database).
