Al9h -> cakes

Really happy with it, dont really need any of the tools it dont have and I like the pontential, so lets support it.

I feel the same way, and I've still got it on my A9LH N3DS, and I really like it.

But I'm really champing at the bit for auto patched region free and AGB support.

On my O3DS I switched to ARN just to try it out, and it's nice.

I'll give Cakes a few more weeks, but I may switch after that.

Jeez. Today's AuReiNAND 5.0 has pretty much convinced me to just go ahead and switch the N3DS as well.

Last night I joined the arm9loaderhax mustardrace with AuReinand on my white n3ds.

Before that I used:
CtrBootManager - Reinand/Cakes/RxTools with NTR

I can't honestly say that the change worth it. The process was long and stressful. I didn't encounter any problems during the setup so I can say that the arm9loaderhax installation process is stable now, even on n3ds.

The faster boot time is a plus for me and it's good that decrypt9/emunand9 can be launched even when the system is bricked.

But all in all, I can't really say it worth it.

Sorry for cancer english. :D

A9LH -> AuReiNAND loader -> ctrbootmanager9 -> ReiNAND
All on my old3DS.

I use A9LH with AuReiNAND because:

1.) No need for emuNAND, freeing up roughly 2 extra gigabytes.

2.) Updated sysNAND support.

3.) Any arm9 payload can be immediately loaded at boot (actually AuReiNAND feature for A9LH).

4.) Can also do pretty much everything any other CFW can do.

(Gave my setup at the beggining of this post.)

it's my opinion and relevant to the thread, if you don't like it feel free to block me
However the original is either the Gateway CFW (from which RxTools was reversed, and if I recall correctly, Cakes was based on an RxTools RE). Then ReiNand (and thus, obviously, all its derivatives) was based off Cakes (there are still many references to Cakes' code). So depending if one counts RE or not, the original is either Gateway or Cakes.

can a9lh be used in conjunction with menuhax to get 100% boot rate for gateway?

Just set aurei and a9lh on my gf's 3ds and its fucking ace, but quite useless for me as I use a GW card.

No, menuhax will still have the same failure rate and boot speeds. However you can launch Gateway through a CIA if your NAND is on 9.2.

Ye i didn't think so, that's gay. The setup on my gf 3ds is spot on, but personally i cant stand the times for installing cias. I'm way to impatient.

So going on gw history we should get al9h support from gw this time next year...

If you've got a lot of free time, then AuReiNand on A9LH is definitely the best CFW out there.

The long and tedious process is very rewarding at the end.
Trust me, you'll definitely feel good after all the hard work you've put into.

I've converted both my regular O3DS and N3DS to AL9H AuReiNand.
It's worth it if you've got a lot of time to spare.

Yup, installing cias makes me want to hurl, but the good thing is that I can have my entire 3DS collection with me at all times. I installed 5 cias and the time it took was ridiculous. I was also dumping 3DS roms on the other hand with my Dream Team XL, so I was finished at around the same time the installing was going on. Ridiculous!
