I followed the sticky noob guide to install haxchi and everything went fine.
I now need a way to play that patched uncensored Project Zero title :)
Here's what I'm not so sure about...

1. According to the guide Haxchi is enough to run a CFW, so no mocha, but I can't find a fw.img included in the file provided in the link. Maybe that's intentional? I'm ok doing a few extra clicks, and I'd rather avoid CBHC since there's a brik risk.

2. Once i put a fw.img in the sd card, I can change the config file to have it start by pressing A. Do I have to reinstall haxchi just to make this modification? The guide seems to say so:
  1. Setup HaxChi to autoboot to system menu by altering the file in the folder SD:\HaxChi\config.txt. Change the values to look like step 3 below.
  2. a=fw.img
    b=wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher/homebrew_launcher.elf
    default=sysmenu
  3. re-install HaxChi from HBL over the top of your HaxChi DS title
  4. Now when you launch HaxChi you are in sigpatched sysNAND
Thanks for your help

You don't need fw.img anymore. Just have haxchi to default sysmenu you should be good

wup installer is failin though.
I tried the patched version (ok, it could be a bad version) but I also tried the eshop version downloaded via usb helper, and it fails saying I need sig patch.
Maybe I'm not loading it right? How do I know I'm in sig patch?

The channel version must be installed using wup installer after youre in cfw already and it must be installed to USB.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

If you have HaxChi set to default to sysmenu you have to first tap it once (then check the version of Wii u. It should be 99.99.99)

After that you go into HBL and you can use wup installer to install the WUP installer channel from usb helper

There is any possibility of running Devolution from vWii Homebrew Channel with Gamepad as controller using a CFW Forwarder? I installed it but didn't work with the Gamepad as controller, at least it worked a shortcut and i still can use the WiiU Pro Controller
If you're wondering i don't use Nintendont for some of my games, because some of them such as Paper Mario TTYD have graphical issues, and also my saves are on it.

    I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:

    @Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

    Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
