Capcom is reportedly developing a 'Resident Evil 3' remake

Following the success of the Resident Evil 2 remake released earlier this year, it wouldn't be surprising for Capcom to want to remake more of its classic titles. Indeed, 2019's Resident Evil 2 scored 92 on OpenCritic and 91 on Metacritic (PS4). Our own official review gave the title a 10/10!

There have been rumors going around that Capcom's next remake would be that of Resident Evil 3, and today Eurogamer seems to have more news regarding bringing this classic game to current gen consoles. In an article published today, the online outlet wrote that they have also heard of the project, stating that "sources close to its development suggest it has been in development for some time - although the franchise's upcoming multiplayer portion Project Resistance is currently being given the spotlight."

In any case, such news have to be taken with a grain of salt before we can hear the official confirmation. Nevertheless, would you like to see a remake of Resident Evil 3 on current-gen platforms?

That or they are an afterthought that various platforms compel them to have and they did not deem it worth the time/effort to do pay much attention to them other than ensuring the absolute minimum functionality.

Shit did you ever finish it

Yeah after you win you unlock a special mode in which you get to choose first person or 3rd person I prefer first person to 3rd person because 3rd person has this annoying way of killing you because you cannot see the threat in front of you I am playing it again and now I do not die so much because I have more experience and do not panic and have a herb buffet after a enemy tries to kill me the special mode is awesome for once the monsters get to fear you rather than vice versa but all in all it is a great game

If you think it's normal for a kid say 6 yrs old to go around stabbing zombies with blood showing with jump out scare moments also and going to school next day and telling ther teachers what they did last night then you need Yr head tested

You going to swing to this extreme next?

I'm hyped. Never played the original RE2 and loved the remake. Can't wait to see what Capcom has in store.

Edit: Just realized I'm a dumb dumb and that it wasn't confirmed. Still hoping they decide on it though!

This is the only mainline game that I missed. Played the original releases of RE1 and RE2 on PS1, then jumped to Code Veronica on DC before later playing the remakes on GC and sequels on Xbox 360. I'd be more likely to revisit this if it gets the same love as the RE 2 remake. I just can't go back to the older controls.

I'd be interested to see what they can do with 3, as I feel it was mostly a filler game to grab a little more cash, riding on the success of the previous titles.

If it's true I'm sure it will turn out to be something amazing, going by how well they did with 2.

Maybe we could hope for a remaster of code Veronica???
