Hi

I am trying to install AKAIO 1.8 after using Acekard official fw for years - up to 4,23. Problem is now that so many games don't work, i thought I would give it a go.

I read up on it, and read an excellent tutorial on here - a sort of foolproof idiot guide.

the only problem is that I continually get "loading" in blue or it goes to white screen and nothing. In the FAQ of the tut it states that the sd card is not fully inserted, but it is - and even thought he card is springloaded it works fine with 4.23 ofw.

I also read about formatting the sd card to FAT 32 as it's 4gb, using the panasonic sd formatter. i downloaded the formatter and formatted the card and tried again and again - still nothing.

the sd is Sandisk, and I have no idea why it's not working.

Anyone any ideas?

All help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Dingo

Try it with another mSD

OK I'll try that thanks - just one question though......why would one msd work perfectly for 2 years then not be able to work?

Just a query.

Thanks to you and Shadow for takling the time to reply.

Cheers

Dingo

are you using haxchi, tiramisu or aroma?
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
no, I'm asking which one of them you are using
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
there is a plugin that display them on the wii u menu, pretty sure it is enabled by default
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    so like it doesnt exist
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
    ?
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
it doesn't exist, at least not for aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    ohhhhh
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
on tiramisu you can access it by opening mii maker
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    okay
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
but homebrew is appearing in the home menu btw
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
    yes, now I remember it
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
then it is working, I also don't like that they did this but it is the only option you have if you are using aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
i just didint know the homebrew launcher didint exist in aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
