Probably about a year ago I modded my Wii to play backups of my games on a hard drive, but I hadn't touched the system in who knows how long. I recently decided to use my 2TB hard drive for my computer, so I was just going to start using disks again, as well as buying some games. When I put DVDs in the disk tray, they spin for about 10-15 seconds and the Wii says that it cannot recognize the disk. I'm assuming that I either need to clean the lense or just replace the DVD drive, which I could easily just do myself, but is there anything else that could possibly go wrong?

Since the drive is only about 25 bucks on Ebay (IIRC), I was just going to buy that in case the lense cleaner didn't work, but I just wanted to confirm that there couldn't be anything internally wrong. I was at a fully modded 3.1u with all the new IOS files, but I updated to 3.4u to see if that would solve any problems and it didnt work. Thanks for any advice.

I did have all the updated IOS files, but then as I said the most recent thing I did was update to 3.4u so shouldn't everything be updated regardless?

Thats true.. I updated them before I upgraded to 3.4, so idk if they are still there, but even Wii Sports doesn't work. The dick spins, and it doesn't know what it is

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

    nope

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
