I've used it to restore saves on many friends accounts on sysnand going strong so far. Used alot of homebrew so far 4 months and still going

Not all online games will ban you. Mostly Nintendo games that trigger a ban depending on the edit. Stats that are tracked online can be traced like Splatoon 2 and Smash bros. 3rd party games are safe since they dont really control application ban but they do control account ban like Blizzard with Overwatch.

You can get away with editing Pokemon games. People do it all the time. The save editor "pkhex" provide a legit checker. I've used the save editor to help me with the battle tower

i've been told yes to homebrew apps, you just want to avoid anything tinfoil related.

There is always a risk of getting banned when using homebrew.
