Hacking Can somebody please rip the bootloader from an NS-Atmosphere please?

Hello people.

Now, me and a few others are on the modchip-side of switch modding as you may have read.

I need a copy of the NS-Atmosphere bootloader in order to test my improved version of the payload pushing software / chainloader.

I have provided limited support but I cannot properly test it. And with all the SAMD chips I have... It doesn`t make sense for me to buy one just for the bootloader.

So, if anyone can pull it with OpenOCD or something, I would be forever in your debt.

Thought a new thread might garner a few more replies.

I can only get my NS-Atmosphere to identify as a serial device via the micro-USB port. So I guess you'd need to solder a JTAG adapter to the PCB.

You need my openocd raspberry pi image from my modchip thread in Tutorials. Probably near the top. Hasn`t been buried yet!

Basically you need to edit the openocd.cfg.

Comment out the line that says "program trinket.bin verify" and replace it with:
dump_image bootloader.bin 0 8192

Hmmm... It seems to use a standard SAMBA bootloader.

Not sure if SWD is broken out anywhere?

Yep. Can`t see the traces though. Its A QFN chip so would be a SAMD21G18. God knows why they cover up the chip IDs... Pins 45&46 if memory serves. I`ll double check the datasheet

well mine wont be here till december but if no one has got it to you by then i have a RPI if u walk me through it i could do it. also a question the bootloader on it should be able to be flashed to any samd21 modchip right?

Yes. But I`m thinking of putting my chainloader-type-thing on it. Lots of different modes, lots of different payloads potentially. I just need a bootloader so I can make a bin ready to flash. Need to know offsets and how they have done it. Thats all.

Once I have a rip, I can build a bin file that contains the UF2 system and then you can put multiple payloads on it.
