Hacking can pocketnes.gba in slot2 cards save sram progresses not just load?

As in subject, can pocketnes.gba in slot2 cards save sram progresses, not just load ( pocketnes.sav from other emus) ? eg. everdrive X5.

As in subject, can pocketnes.gba in slot2 cards save sram progresses, not just load ( pocketnes.sav from other emus) ? eg. everdrive X5.

eg. i have a pocketnes.gba rom and pocketnes.sav containing a few nes games with saves.
The save can be recognised and loaded into x5 gba, and run.
But if i then save progress on x5, unsuccessful.

... or, is there any method to split the .sav file into the different saves for the several nes rom saves, so that they can be separately loaded game by game using the functioning native nes emulation support by the everdrive x5 gba ?
