Hacking Buying a PSP1004 tommorow.

Do following the instructions in the How To Softmod (Hack) Your PSP topic allow you to run games from the Memory card? or do i need to install CFW, and how do i do that?

I have no idea what i'm doing thanks!

Folowing the instructions in the 'How To Softmod (Hack) Your PSP' topic, essentially installs/flashes a CFW onto your PSP, and the CFW itslelf is essentially what lets you play games (iso) from the memory stick.
So the answer to your question is, yes

When your finished, which should be about ten minutes. Your going to say "Man, that was easy." Don't forget to get emulators as they are exceptional on the PSP.

Having problems with this.
I downloaded the 6.60 OFW from filetrip like it said too, stuck it on my PSP and it said "currupted data"

I am currently on version 3.71

It has to be in a folder named UPDATE in your game folder.

Why are you updating to 6.60 instead of 6.20? 6.60 will only give you a temporary hack, 6.20 allows a full-blown one.

nope 6.60 is permanent via c_ipl

I wouldn't recommend it to a newbie though - and he clearly is one.

6.20 is simply the easier solution, as it's basically plug-n-install. But, whatever you people prefere.

i went to 6.60 then 6.20..
i followed the instructions :s

it does what i want it to do now though, which is run emulators and iso's so i'm happy ^^
