Did he ever show the game to Nintendo? Let them play it? Probably not, just demanded the Nitro SDK. And from the look of the game, it's not really Nintendo material. It'd need HEAVY editing on graphics, story bla, anything, and then it wouldn't be Bob's game anymore, would it.

Today should be Day 63.
But whatever. I'm going back to playing Retro Game Challenge.

The no from NoA is probably the nail in the coffin for this venture unless he's going to release it as an NDS file/ROM.

"bob's game"

Coming soon for Google Android, Apple iPhone, and OpenPandora.

(And Nintendo DS, of course!)

Of course I don't care! For every sale on the DS, I would make about $1.

For every copy sold on Android or iPhone, I'll make $10. TEN TIMES AS MUCH!

iPhone alone has already sold over 17 million systems, and Steve Jobs wasn't kidding about being a competitor.

It's like he's some kind of genius!

They seem to think that developers are still powerless. Times have changed, Nintendo.

I've repeatedly said that I don't care about the DS sales- because it's a broken platform and the profits are terrible!

I just wanted to see my box on the shelf. I already saw it on the shelf of the Nintendo World Store! ;}

Of course, I want as many people to be able to play it as I can!

The only option left for me is to release it as homebrew- playable only on flash devices!

"bob's game" will be available for EVERY MAJOR NINTENDO DSi FLASH CART. It's a huge legitimate reason to own these devices!

All it would take is a few hundred thousand people wanting to play "bob's game" on Nintendo DS and it might start to bite into sales.

This has the potential to cause major damage not only to Nintendo, but to EVERY SINGLE LICENSED DEVELOPER FOR THE SYSTEM!

I'm not even a licensed developer, what do I care? NOT MY PROBLEM!

Last I heard, even those big developers were already getting pretty upset with you, Nintendo!

They've been abandoning your system for more open platforms- just like what happened to the N64.

Wouldn't it be terrible if "bob's game" was as great as I say? What if I was telling the truth?

What if the demand becomes high enough to make the DSi into the next Dreamcast?

I wonder why all these evil developers are so angry at you, Nintendo? Why do they keep cracking your systems?!

Even the digital distribution on the DSi is ALREADY BROKEN, and the system isn't even out yet in North America!

It's the only way they can develop on it! When are you going to figure it out? Something has to change!

WHY WON'T YUU LOVE US, REGGIE?!

Looks like he's leaning to releasing it as homebrew

Well, it's good news it's coming out on homebrew. But his attitude of "Everyone will buy flashcarts because of my AMAZING game, and suddenly Nintendo will be slitting its wrists over lost profits" is ridiculous. What a whiny little baby.

Has anyone seen his site today? He has little pink hearts with Reggie Fils-Aime's head on each and every single one. It scared the shit out of me - I mean WTF? ._."

Meh. No homebrew devoloper should ask "to buy flashcarts" for the sole purpose of "lowering the sales and hurting nintendo and other devolpers (whom by the way done nothing to him)". I'm sick of this guy.
And still you get him hyped and hyped...

PS: He said it will be only on DSi flashcarts so, no DS or DSL for Bob's Game

Yeah but can't DSi games be played on a normal DS? Besides how would he know how to code it to make it DSi only? And surely this would go against his plan of destroying nintendo if everyone buys a DSi to play this game (as if anyone would anyway).

finally a homebrew which he should have done since the beginning
but it makes no sense how it could only be on the dsi flashcarts
if its a nds file then shouldnt it work on any other flashcart

I think what he means about the DSi flashcart thing is that the game will be bundled with DSi flashcarts, but obviously if you get the rom you can play it on a regular DS/DSL as well. Remember he said a while back somewhere that he has contacted flashcart manufacturers or something?

What I took his update to mean is it's going to be available to all DSi flashcart users either as a rom download or a pay for download rom... if he really expects that rom won't end up on Newsgroups and bittorrent within seconds he's crazy. Plus if he says "Only on DSi flashcarts" it makes his game sound more cutting edge and important than him saying "You can play it on both DS and DSi models." Everything he says is spin and/or propaganda used in his personal campaign to troll the internet.

The iTunes/iPhone port is just as crazy. If he really thinks he's going to get 10 dollars a download, that would mean he would have to price the game around 15 bucks if he means 10 dollars after Apple takes a cut. Most iTune apps sell for 2-4 dollars. I know I paid 5 bucks for that Square RPG for my iPod and that was Square. Comparing the full fledged games from real developers on there to Bob's Game for, what seems like, 4-5 times the price? He's shooting himself in the foot again.
