The case here is simply that I have no interest in finishing this translation.

Unfortunately, it seems that this project is dead for good. But, I understand Noitora is looking for a translator for the game, so there's still some small hope of seeing it in the future.

BoB has names so long and ornate they sound like someone with a penchant for the Power Rangers and MazingerZ went rampaging through a Japanese thesaurus. And then tacked on all Squeenix item names ever. I’m translating them to something less stupid. Hopefully >.>

The ‘honour’ you get for beating one of the earlier optional bosses. Note: the optional boss in question is pretty much a carbon copy of the earlier, non-optional boss. There are dozens of these. The game is just bosses, after all. If the game didn’t play it so straight, I’d swear the whole thing was an RPG parody. Perhaps my understanding of the translation tone is flawed.


If anyone more fluent in Japanese would care to comment on the potential parody elements of the game, I’d appreciate it.
