I created a wiki so the translators can access the files easier.

Edit:If you want to edit a page you must create a user first, because I don't want anyone to start deleting pages from the wiki and stuff.

Edit2:HernanZh Can you take a look at the files in the yamada\db folder.Sometimes a block of text ends with 00 instead of 00 00.That's what messed the pointers in the skills and that's why I didn't send the text dumps to Densetsu3000 because I wanted to edit the files myself first.

Every time I release a new patch or fix it includes everything else from older versions.

Ah, so the control code is 00 and not 0000. I guess it was coincidence when I looked at a file which always had 0000 as a stop. Anyway, the text dumper I made for you doesn't care about that. It always follows a pointer and dumps the text according to that and puts a "[stop]" behind it. If the text block happened to end with 0000, it would delete it. That's how it worked.
I made a new dumper for you (I'll send you a pm), which deletes any amount of 00's at the end of the text. Other than that, it's pretty much the same. I dumped the text in the folder again, and it looks pretty much the same.
I still don't understand how you managed to create bad dumps.

The file I sent you was http://mihd.net/97hlgvn according to my outbox. (or see Densetsu3000's post with the dumps) I opened db_skill_help.bin and it clearly says

As you can see, there is a 00 between the ? and [stop]. This is because the old dumper did not find a 0000 and so it didn't remove anything. It just added a [stop]
Are you sure it's not one of your own dumps?

My last post contained the dumps directly from HernanZh, but the original dumps were saved as ANSI and displayed cavespeak when I opened them. So the only change I made to his original files is that I re-saved them as Unicode so that they would display the text properly, and those are the files I have uploaded. Other than that, the original text has been unmodified.

*EDIT*
I just downloaded the original ANSI dumps HernanZh sent me and checked them against the Unicode ones just in case I might have messed something up myself, but they are indeed the same.

Forget about this wiki too :3 I will go with google docs.It's the fastest way to do things IMO.I asked Densetsu3000 if he likes the idea having a folder in google docs with all the files as spreadsheets but I haven't received his response yet.

When I try to publish the folder so everyone can view it says "You do not have permission to share the item selected" If I don't find a way to publish it, I was thinking of creating a site with the index of all the files.

Yeah. I'm not too familiar with Google Docs so I went to the help to try to find out how you can share folders. Turns out that's the #1 complaint by all the users who use this system. You can't share folders.

It sounds like you share all the individual files then the users that you share the files with build their own folders to organize everything.

Google Docs seems like a nice system, but we'd have to work around that. Plus everyone would have to have a Gmail account (which I think just about everyone does anymore).
