Hacking Black strip on right side of screen with some games?

First off great site and thank you to the community. This place is an invaluable resource and I've browsed it for some time.

My scenario: On some games, for example PES 2010, I get a black strip on the far right side of the screen. This happens on both USB Loader GX and Configurable USB Loader. Does anyone have any idea why this might happen?

Don't know if it matters but I'm running 4.2U, hermes v4, and cios 17. On a wide screen TV.

Just to add some detail. It is a strip maybe a half inch wide or so on the right side. Another game it shows up on is Mad World.

Has anyone else ever experienced this on games?

Yeah, i get it on both sides. Madworld, SSX Blur, and a couple others.

Good to know I'm not alone. I can live with it... games are still good. I'd be sweet if it could be fixed somehow or to even know why it happens.

I get it with just about everything, but it's not totally straight. It's kinda wavey? Also, I have a 4:3 TV and I run my backups from DVDs.
