Do you guys think Kamala and Pete would be a winning duo?
Would be neat to see another Hoosier VP after Pence, and the two are like completely different

might set him up for his own federal career in the future - and may excite midwestern rust belt people who will ultimately decide this election

although I don't know if america is ready for a ticket with a gay man, and a multiracial black woman

this country is pretty backwards

There's no time like the present to get things on the right track.

issue is if you try to get too progressive and the D ticket loses, then instead of getting things on the right track - you get totally derailed

better to have a centrist safe left than a hard right - because I think the country might not be ready for anything other than that

Harris is not a multiracial Black woman - Her mum is from India and her dad is Jamaican-American.

do you not think her dad is black? You know Jamaica also has black people

Her dad is mixed race. His dad was white and his mum was Jamacian with Irish ancestry. Her mum is indian.
does that make him not black in your mind?

Obama also has a kenyan father and a white mother - and everyone agrees he is black

to say she is not then black/multiracial is silly

No, she's mixed and that's it.

Biden should have done this last year and given more time. This is hands down the stupidest decision he’s made. Hopefully it turns out well but I am not hopeful

I actually think this timing was a genius move to take over the news cycle from the attempted assassination.

as an american myself, I can tell you 1/4 black people are often considered black - because black isn't a scientific concept

the truth of it is, if you look at DNA studies - average black americans have 1/5 european ancestry on average, 4/5 african

black is a construct that is mostly to do with people's appearances

the fact is, if you look black and have african ancestry - you're black

if she's 1/4 or 1/2 or 100%, if she is perceived as black she is black

it's the legacy of the 1 drop rule

if you went back to the 1950s she would not have been able to go to a white school, simple as that

You can class her what you want, I'll class her what I want. I don't class her as Black - she looks more Indian than black and DNA wise, she is more Indian than anything else. Still if you think she's a black chick that's up to you.
