thx man! Are the italians gonna be the first with a 4.8 translation? lol, you guys were incredibly fast with your updates for such a long time!

@ketufe & all potential translators, this LINK may help anyone looking to update a translated version of ModMii. It's a diff between ModMii v4.6.1 and 4.8.0. You can even change the versions that are compared.

so I softmodded my Wii a while back... over a year ago and it's on 4.2U - I'd like to get the newer updated channels (and download the Netflix channel). After going through the guide setup with ModMii 4.8.0 I was watching the log screen and I noticed a bunch of purple text saying it was unable to download certain parts of the package.

Is this an issue? How do I find out what those skipped file were?

Sooooo... should I worry about those 15 invalid files?

I just tried option R to repeat the download and got the same errors

my wii wouldnt load games, would randomly give currupt messages, usb loader kept dying, hacked with everything I could find usefull since day one.

used modmii for windows (after reloading a 2 year old nand from bootmii)

windows program is excellent, whole process is fantastic.

wii works brilliant now and also have cool darkwii green theme.

thank you everyone involved.

Just made a new Emulated NAND with the latest ModMii (V4.8.0) and everything seems to work incl. Joyflow/oneek etc.
The only problem i now have i can't make any WIFI connections.
Did tried several acces points. The real NAND has no problems. Any clues?

@Lucif3r, WiiMod uses davebaol's ahbprot solution whereas MMM does not (ie. MMM is dangerous in ahbprot mode)

Thanks OverjoY! I do my best :D

@taiguy, ur problem is very weird. I don't understand why IOS60v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP-VP-DIP]).wad is Valid but IOS70v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP-VP-DIP]).wad is Invalid. They are both constructed using the same method except one changes it's slot # and the other doesn't. Anyways, I'm positive the problem is with your windows installation. You could give me more info by telling me what ModMii says when trying to download one of the "invalid" files. Anyways, just use a different computer or run vmware or something.

wiimod is able to install stuff without a cIOS. So the old modmii guide would have u use IOS236 Installer before being able to use mmm to install other cIOSs. Now instead ModMii will get ppl to run wiimod and install all the wads (including IOS236) in one shot. Basically using wiimod+ahbprot instead of mmm allowed me to remove the IOS236 Installer step from the guides.

so does thos mean my wii is destined to die as I used the old method yesterday...?
should I reinstall again using this new method or am I ok to carry on since my wii seems great now?
ps. thanks again.
