Hi I'm new to 3DS homebrew and I'm looking to buy a flashcard for my 3DS. Mainly this will be used for emulation (NES, GBA, SNES, etc.) and playing downloaded DS games. I am on the latest 3DS firmware. I'm looking for a card that's cheap but high quality and that gets updates regularly to compensate for 3DS firmware updates in the future. Thank you for your help.

We really should set up an automated guide for new members.

Press 1 for NOTHING PLAYS 3DS ROMS
Press 2 for cheap DS flashcarts for the 3DS
Press 3 for Wii hacking help
Press 4 for a Mod to allow you to create an account.

The cart and a good site to purchase from http://www.zhuzhuchina.com/store/dsi_r4i_gold_slot-1_flashcard_type_d__www_r4ids_cn__3ds_1_4_4_compatible_wood_3ds.html

Are there any good cards that can be found on amazon?

I used to have a real R4 original.. shouldn't have sold it there

No, Amazon doesn't sell flash carts and pulls them when other people try to sell through Amazon.

Your only bet is an import shop.

I'm still in to state that AceKard is the best one for the money. R4i Gold might be cheaper and might get updates sooner. And of course everyone knows the best card is the SuperCard DSTWO which is amazing because their GBA product was basically flea market trash.

I have to second the above. SNES and GBA emulation on normal flash carts is messy, GBA has no sound and many games don't run, SNES has lots of graphical issues, and so on. Even on the DSTwo, the emulation's worse than what the PSP can do.

I agree, the PSP is an affordable beast as far as emulation is concerned. The DS often has to resample the graphics or crop them due to a low-res screen, a PSP has a bigger screen and it's beefier specs-wise, ergo it's a better device for this purpose.
