I've never played BF3, but I've heard great things about it. Is it worth installing Origin? :P

Depends, does the opportunity to get free presumably good games outweigh some of the dubious business practices EA as a whole partakes in? If the answer to that question is yes for you, then by all means go for it :p

That it true, you can get better deals for Battlefield 3 Premium if you look around. That being said, the free version is a good free taster before taking it a step further and getting Battlefield 3 Premium or Battlefield 4. :yay:

Nooooo

Noo

BF4 on PC is still a clusterfuck of bugs and glitches, even after all the patches. Lol.

EDIT:

It's the original full game, just no DLC maps or anything. Online play and everything is included.

installing a free app for free games.. wtf is there to ponder ?

People like to get buttmad when a company has more interests in money than the consumer, AKA literally every company ever. I think at some point there was some bullshit "ORIGIN SPIES ON YOU OMG" fear mongering or something and people still think it does, despite there being no proof that it was ever a thing.

I honestly think people who take a company's business practice as personal insults is absolutely silly, but hey...people.

Honestly, my only gripe with Origin is having to deal with yet another game manager. But heck, it's a free former retail-priced game. Can't say no to that.

I have other gripes with EA, but this isn't the place to talk about that, now is it?

It's literally the same paranoia as with the Kinect. Origin is just a "worse" Steam, that's all there is to it.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Booo.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.
  • Veho @ Veho:
There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
