ban "x game on y system plz!!!111!!!" threads

every single time one of these threads gets made, it's the exact same discussion. OP thinks that porting a game (no source available) from X to Y is something you could do in an afternoon, then everybody tells OP that it's actually very hard, and that no, nobody's just gonna do it pro bono because we don't live in some fairy tale. OP goes "but... but... but..." trying to conjure up some reason the port would be feasible, until mommy takes away their phone because it's bedtime and they're 12, and they completely forget about the website because 12 year olds have a short attention span.

There are fucking thousands of these threads, I'm sick of seeing them.

To get back on topic. I understand those threads can be annoying. Its just to ignore them, they don't happen that often plus if people don't reply to them. They will disappear in to the either.

The best is when they add "I don't know how to do it, but it can't be that hard to do" with the "request". I see this a lot on the Vita because there're a whole bunch of Android games being ported there and some people think it anything goes.

Start telling them to go to the bakers and ask for brain surgery. They won't know how to do it but it can't be that hard and I say we volunteer the next thread op for the procedure!

Ignoring them can be hard sometimes but would be the best course of action.

Other side of the coin...

I remember someone asked for sonic mania iirc to be ported to wii u. Queue the usual replies and then about a week later it emerged. Now... It was being worked on before the request, granted and it was after the whole decomp but sometimes a silly request can weild an actual answer.

All the did was press a button in Iduh Pro which spat out some code and then press the cumpile button to get it on Wii U.

They only did it because someone with zero knowledge of porting software asked, everyone saying it's difficult has no idea what they're talking about.
