SD card class makes no difference - the class rating guarantees a minimum sustained WRITE speed. Most SD cards read at ~20MB/sec (most are guaranteed a minimum of 10MB/sec).Zeno McDohl said:I just tried it at 2x. It still failed with same error.
Using Memorex DVD+R
What burner are you using? +R needs the booktype set to dvd-rom, which some drives don't do automatically. Others (like pioneer) don't/can't do it at all. Youc an edit the pioneer firmware to allow auto bitsetting to DVD-Rom.
Burn at 8x for reliable burns, ignore the 2x or 4x advice (unless you have an old 4x burner). Modern burners and discs aren't designed for burning at 4x.
QUOTE(Justken4ever @ Oct 28 2008, 07:58 AM) If thats possible would loading by sd (Class 6) that be faster than 6x(dvd speed)?
DVD Read speed is 1.32MB/sec - a little under 8MB/sec for 6x. The RAT of SD is far far faster than DVD could ever manage. As long as the SD hardware in the wii isn't speed limited it would be plenty fast enough.
That's not to say that loading games from it is possible at all, just that even the slowest of SDHC cards are fast enough.
