Which should be added first?

  • An embedded "app store" for downloading more DS homebrew

  • A settings screen and alternate themes

I know of a few titles, I'll try tossing together a list and see what I come up with. Might as well contribute while I can lol.

Also, would you count applications that work under DSi mode, or would apps that have extras when on a DSi be best? A lot of apps built now using devkitpro will work no matter what under TWL mode, since it's more supported now, but not all of them have DSi enhanced features.
Preferably both sides of the equation would be good. I know anything that requires DLDI patching won't work right now, but I also don't know which those titles are completely. Another thing to include in the list would be things like emulators, that weren't necessarily coded for the DSi features, but do benefit from DSi-Modes additional CPU speed.

Ahh, here is a half finished list of stuff I tested and verified that works. I removed some of the dead links to images and certain homebrew but most is still there. I will search for the lost binaries on an older sd card tomorrow and update.
Damn it. I was beaten to the punch.

Regarding DLDI patching, to "no interface" or remove any patching. It'll correct the offset and usually it works regarding homebrew preached for a different card. use the "now device" from this page if you need a dldi file.

you are welcome to contribute! infact please, the more the better! Either just message me or if you want to FTP in, ill add you a login.

I was working on a list of my own, a few homebrews on my list are missing from that site. Perhaps a thread can be started as to list what homebrew can run under DSi mode. I can't check, unfortunately, since I do not have a NAND mod yet, but others can contribute.

That, or just keep adding to @ipwndeveloper's site.

I've been a bit busy with life the past two days, and today as well, so I've been having trouble getting everything together. Still, @ipwndeveloper has met my criteria, and I'd be happy to award them a NAND mod. If you're contributing as well @Team Fail then feel free to PM me, and I'll take care of yours too.

@ipwndeveloper Here's a list of pieces you're seeming to be missing:

DSi Homebrew Channel - https://gbatemp.net/threads/dsi-homebrew-channel-requires-sudokuhax-dsi-entry.284170/ (Was designed as a launcher for other apps, but is outdated and no longer support as opposed to Aura Launcher)
DSi Sandbox Engine - https://gbatemp.net/threads/sandbox-engine-dsi-releases.281900/ (Has DS and DSi functionality with extras for DSi)

Most of these came from the GBAtemp 2011 Homebrew Bounty. Unfortunately, not much in the way of DSi homebrew came after that. Hopefully though, with the recent release of a DSi downgrading utility, that list may get longer.

I will contribute to your website.

How much would a NAND mod cost?

Thanks for the offer, but my DSi is already modded! Perhaps someone else would benefit from DSi mode...

There are some scummvm builds here which utilise the extra resources of the DSi:

Ahh, I tried this on my DSi and they didn't work(couldn't read the SD). Anyone else have a different result?

I think Ill migrate hosts to github, so others can commit changes, and the whole site will be less dependent on myself(my current host has limits of 1 FTP login per account and I dont want to pay for more).

Yeah, GitHub pages would be perfect for it, especially with the ability for collaboration.

Well, as I've awarded you the mod @ipwndeveloper it's up to you who you want to give it away to.

How much would a NAND mod cost?
Right now, I'm charging $25.00+S&H for the basic downgrade. If you want a hard-mod installed, it's $35.00+S&H. I use Micro-JST connectors for installs. I'll have pictures up over the next few days and I'll put up an ad in the trading section.

There's a catch though. My prices are in CAD, so it won't actually cost you that much. ;)

PM me if you're interested.

DSi-mode homebrew could always be launched from it, the issue is that there's almost no dsi-mode homebrew. Someone should make a list of DSi-compatible homebrew.

Actually, whoever does it, gets a free DSi mod. You still have to pay S&H, but I'll cover the mod itself. To whoever makes it, PM me the thread and I'll PM you the address to send it. Mod includes a micro-JST install with SD adapter, but no reader. Also includes a copy of your NAND, both original and modified, and the complete Hybred Firmware install. If you install SUDOKU, I'll downgrade that too. Comes with a copy of your CID and ConsoleID as well.

Considering how small the DSi scene is right now, I figure some incentives are in order anyway.

@Wolfgange This offer goes out to you as well, seeing as you're already contributing to the NDS scene, but have no access to DSiWarehax. I'll happily mod your DSi at no charge, past S&H.

You my friend #Respect

I do have some development stuff going on for some DSiWare level viewing (Which I do plan to open source in early August), but once I do get some funds for covering shipping and whatnot (Seeing as I am jobless), then I'll probably get in touch with you.

What province are you from, if you don't mind me asking?

New Brunswick, Canada. If you have a hard time shipping the whole console, and don't mind only having the titles downgraded, you can send me just the board alone. I can even solder on some longer wires for you to attach to your own connectors for external R/W if you like, in that case. The middle-ground, would be to send me the bottom-half of the case, and the board together. That cuts out the weight of the screen, and the additional thickness. Anyway, there's plenty of options.

And by bottom half of the case, I really mean the bottom half of the bottom half of the case. The side you take off to get at the mainboard.

Ah. Just curious is all. I do not have any problems shipping the entire unit, I did it before (To Vancouver from Alberta) when I had to send in an old DSi that I had because the shoulder buttons were shot. It'll just probably cost me a bit more (Although I'll be visiting the bank here soon I hope, so I'll have at least some money to work with), but I can put it in a bubble wrap envelope, mark it as fragile, and send it once I find some time to run to the post office.

I may also have a spare MicroSD adapter laying around somewhere you can make use of, seeing as I have far too many of them :P If there's any other parts that you may need, I can attempt to source some myself to send to you so it doesn't cost you as much.
