just found a new program that extracts ash0 files, what are they?

ASH0 files are mostly used by Nintendo.

Almost all WiiWare games files are these ASH0. They are just compressed files, and when decompressed they usually are U8 ones, with the games images, etc...

You can recompress them, so it's not really practical at this moment.
