Of my readings on Apple's forums there may be issues w/ connecting a DS to a secured Apple Airport Extreme (new 802.11n model) because it supports only WEP-128bit (13 characters) instead of the old WEP-40bit (10 characters) that the DS supports. I've been able to connect to the router when security is disabled, but it's not something I want to do (even if I setup MAC filtering and disabled ssid broadcasting). Anyone else found a work around for this issue? I'm gonna contact apple and request then to place backwards compatibility in next firmware update, hope they would.

That's nice to know about the Wii, I plan to replace mine (was stolen 8 months ago) some time in the future... just not in a huge rush until more good titles appear... too much time spent with my 360 and DS anyway. Hope Apple would listen to my request for a firmware update to include more WEP options for this device.

Found out how to make it work with the 13 character WEP key the Airport Extreme uses... don't use the auto detect feature... just had to type in my own ssid and wep key... and it works. Feel kinda silly for not trying it first. Issue resolved.
