Are there any hackers/programmers on here? I'm just wondering if it is possible to have the Wii U GameCube Adapter to work on Wii games from usb loaders or anything like that. If it exist let me know. Thank you!

It works with Nintendont and GameCube ISOs. Doesn't really answer your question but just worth mentioning for you <3
Yeah, that's perfect for GC games! But I'm hoping we can use the controllers for Wii games as well. (Such as Super Smash Bros. Brawl/Project M)

Yeah, same.
Well, getting/keeping a wii for project m seems to be a useless step for some but for some friends of mine and me, who keep smashing on a regular basis and offcourse need GcControllers for it it became a must have and using a hdmi-adapter you get the same 576i that you would get with vWii, alternatively you might aswell use dolphin on your PC, use the GC-Adapter and hook it up to your screen, works good on average PCs, delivers full-HD and you can get rid of your Wii, cant take it to friends, tho

why can't you just use the gc controllers that plug into the wii remote? it's practically all they sell in gamestops now. i know for competitions you would want everything wired, but among friends, who cares
To me they just dont feel the same, most notably the shoulderbuttons and the surface, but the idea is nice, there are also homebrew gc-adapters that plug into wiimotes. They could also work,

yeah, there is no sound logic why they made the L/R that way. it's not even analog. i agree, the extra effort to press it is dumb

Dolphin is amazing in it's own right, however it's not stable for a full release for a long while. Some games I wanted to play for Wii are graphical issues and that's why I moved on to just play USB ISO games on the home console itself. As for the Gamecube adapter subject, I host tourneys every week for both Melee and PM and this would be alot easier since monitors can become the norm instead of owning a bulky old TV just to play them. The monitors only needs to be about 60z refresh rate and that's all for gaming.

Why not just buy one of the gamecube adapters for the wii remote and just plug in your own?

I own one of them, but they have some input lag. So I prefer not to use it for very long.

just tested this with smash and xenoblade. it should work with any game that uses the classic controller..

I haven't tried the PDP ones but I'd rather not be involve into syncing up the wii mote every time I have a few matches on PM ether. I did tried the HORI Battle Pad ones, and I disliked it cause the buttons and sticks feel a bit cheap. But that's just my taste that I like the original NGC controllers better then anything.

VWii has built-in input lag, or so I've heard. If you're using a GC controller for more responsive input, you shouldn't be using a Wii U in the first place.
As one who frequently changes between the two and also rather advanced plays both Melee and P:M on both devices, i can tell you, you dont notice it.

well we all know how ssbm players are picky on nintendont they keep complaining about input lag that no one elese notices but ssbm players they forget that

the wiiu gc adapter is an hid device so the chain goes like this

gc controller signal turn to hid signal on the adapter, apater sends signal to nintendont, nintendont turns signal back to gcc signal and then sends it to the game.

So obviously this is gonna take some ms due to conversions and whatnot same would be true if anyone hacked a way for wiiflow or usbloader gx to patch the gc controller same conversions would apply and the ssb crowd would start complaining about input lag like they always do.

Well, as for the both smashes i can tell you we played them alot with the newest dolphin-rev of either time and didnt notice ANY difference except for AI sometimes being stupid and full-hd, both being differences we can live with :P, graphics just worked perfectly.

I'd like to count myself to said melee-players, frequent WDing is the central point there, and i dont feel nor complain about any differences so it COULD be placebo. But i have seen and heard complains from others.

But people who are actually smart enough to point those delays out and care enough to want to rule them out shouldnt rely on anything but wired controllers on native hard- and firmware anyways, so Wii or better GC it is. Lets aim for -0,5 milliseconds xD
