Was wondering if someone could edit god eater 2 so we can keep fighting the story mode final boss more than once

But why? I’m sure it’s doable, if you have a modded app you could use the cheat engine plugin for games to find and change the values required to do this

For the record "hex editing" is not a concept all that meaningful to hackers. You might as well be asking "anybody here good at typing" when what you actually want is someone that knows Tagalog. Indeed hex editors are considered very basic and crude tools, and while they allow you to edit any part of the file and thus any part of the game it is not a good way of doing it.

Anyway this might be the sort of thing you can do with a cheat -- not all games will and it might be more complex but the basic thing a programmer would do is save a flag to say you have fought the boss. You find where this flag is and force it back to not fought and you can then go endlessly.
Alternatively if you can figure out how to edit maps you could place the final boss in like any standard enemy, or if the boss takes place on a separate map/level copy and paste that level over another one (say another random small dungeon and depending upon how it is coded it might allow you to go endlessly there.

i know nothing of editing levels or any hacking in general so is this a lost cause. plus i dont think anyone ever edited quests in god eater 1/2 only the monster hunter games

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
