Gaming Anyone checked out Tribe's Ascend yet?

If you like fps's at all you should at least try this game.

Tribes is a projectile focused fps game (very little hitscan) focused around a "skiing" mechanic, which lets you disable friction.

Combine this with a jetpack and many hills, and you can get to very high speeds.

The game is Free to Play, with additional unlocks being available for either exp in game or cash shop gold. They are sidegrades though, a good player in default loadouts will fare well against people with unlocks.

I've been playing Blacklight: Retribution so I'll check this out sometime.

I played it a couple times with my brother, and though it had an appeal, I couldn't see myself playing it for more than the first novelty. It didn't really have any depth beyond it :/

But the F2P element is pretty cool.
