IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT RAM METHOD

Support for RAM method has been dropped for Welcome amiibo update.
And it will never be back, sorry.

Why?

The amiibo update requires the console firmware to be on 11.x, which automatically kills the browser exploit that allows the AC:NL RAM hacking method.

Basically, Nintendo killed the RAM hacking method unintentionally.
Couldn't you technically install the .cia for the old version of Spider Browser & just completely fix up the RAM Hacking process itself?

That would only be available for CFW users, and CFW users have easy access to homebrew.
And also, that would require to rewrite the dumper/injector code, because savegame has changed in Welcome amiibo update.

Still having issues trying to import a save from a different region. I updated the secure value but it says it's corrupted. Strangely enough, if I leave the native garden_plus.bin alone but import the mailbox, museum, design, etc. data, it will work fine.

Hello,

it would be great, if someone could help me, please.

I am on 9.5.0-22E,
old Nintendo 3DS XL,
using soundhax as an entry point.
Trying to use "AC:NL save manager" yields a (translated - I am German) "The selected application needs a title which is not installed".
May someone help me on this, please?

The "save_manager" apparently works generating a backup. My I use the garden-file generated by virtue of this application? I guess no, for it comes with a row of different files next to the gardet-file.

Sorry for my questions.
I had a great time using the RAM method back in the day and if it is over for me now, that were sad, but still, thank you very much for this wonderful editor =).

You should be using JKSM instead.

Thank you very much!
This still yields five (for a game not on the Amiibo-Update) files, amongst which I can find the "garden.dat".
So this file I may use? I will give it a try.

Question. So I am trying to open the save editor and im just staring at the browser without anything happening. How do I edit my save? I did it before a long time ago. So what happened?

I have an issue with Redd's tent being on my plaza every day. Katrina and other events still happen on my plaza but they glitch into Redd's tent. I'm not sure what I did exactly to cause this to happen. Perhaps I imported a map where he was on the plaza but is there a way to remove him and revert plaza event back to normal? I'm able to remove the tent with the editor but it comes back the next day.

Hi everyone,

Does somebody know (or already tried) if the game crashes during the Harvest Festival (autumn) or the Festivale day (spring) if you have converted (via Save Editor) some of your Public Work Projects into a "Pavé's Dance Stage" and a "Franklin's Table" ?

There must be something different between EUR version and the US version(not too surprising) because some of these apply for the US version, but some also don't. If we could get a new list of the U.S. working offsets now, that'd be great because:

Mayor Main Room Size Blocks: 0x57eb6
Mayor Second Floor Size Blocks: 0x581b8
Mayor Basement Size Blocks: 0x584ba
Mayor Right Room Size Blocks: 0x587bc
Mayor Left Room Size Blocks: 0x58abe
Mayor Back Room Size Blocks: 0x58dc0

...and etc. don't work anymore(and haven't for months, for me). I suppose I could compile the list of new coords, but for now this is just a sort of heads up I guess.

(Unless I'm doing something wrong :P)

Since it's been a while, is there any update on this? I've been away from Animal Crossing for a while to focus on other things and forgot to continue searching.

I have Franklins table in my town and there were no issues on Thanksgiving for me! I can't say for sure about Festivale but I assume it is also fine if you have the stage...

The offsets are the same for any region. They changed in Welcome amiibo, but they are still just -0x44 from room furniture offset.

Anyway, I've added room size editing to the editor (only accesible from browser console for now).
How to edit room size (very experimental!):
* open your savegame in the editor
* press F12 to open the browsers console
* type: players[x].rooms[y].size=z;
where:
x=player number (0-3)
y=room number (0-5)
z=room size (2=4x4, 3=6x6, 4=8x8)
* save changes

Weird, must have just been my file acting up then, because I tried the hex editing option a few times with the same result, checking over and everything. :huh:

If there's room editing available though, then that's not much of an issue anymore.
