ROM Hack Animal Crossing: New Leaf Save Editor

Hi, a few days ago I tried doing this for the first time and it worked perfectly fine. I have the downloaded version of acnl and I was able to dump and inject with no problem, however after a few times I would get stuck in the load screen upon entering my house after injecting. It did that for a few times, and then after attempting to inject the game would completely freeze. Now I can't dump files or inject them at all. I've deleted the files from the root of my 3DS and put them back in, I've tried restarting my saved town, but nothing works. Every time I put my SD card into my computer there is no .bin file. I don't understand why it was working perfectly fine and then all of a sudden it just doesn't. I'm able to do all of this with no problem using my sisters copy and her DS.

You have to inject in your house. Also don't forget to delete history and cookies. And make sure you haven't update your console to 9.5.0-23 (or higher), because it's not supported.

You seem to know what to do, can you explain to me what to do after I'm done editing my town? I don't have a ram file I have a mori.bin file and I don't know if that's what I'm doing wrong? I can't inject either, not getting a green screen and don't see the changes.

Heres a good and safe way to troll your friends in this game!!
Step1: Place a lot of unused items on the ground with the editor.
Step2: Invite a friend.
Step3: Tell them to pic up the very expensive and rare items.
Step4: End session.
Step5: When they open their pockets, they wont have the items at all because unused/invalid items are removed from your pockets as soon as you put them in your pockets!!!
Note: This doesn't mess up their game!

I'm guessing you dumped the file using leaftools (dumping via leaftools names the save mori.bin) Rename the mori file to acnlram and try injecting again using the injection link in this thread instead

I tried to download the map editor by froggestspirit but it gets blocked and removed by norton antivirus every time. If I turn off norton for that file, is it safe? it wont bring any viruses to my computer?

It's safe. I've used it a handful of times. my Antivirus doesn't react to it.

Instead of re-naming it acnlram.bin, have you used the mori.bin file and used the save restore QR from Leaftools?

The mori.bin files are no longer compatible with the tools. It must be named acnlram.bin. So you will need to create a dump of your town using one of the tools (either from LeafTools or the RAM Editor's links), and then edit THAT file, and then re-inject it into your game.
