Garr, this island is soo damn hard...I swear catching bugs is one of the hardest things in the game....plus only getting 1 good beetle every 5 mins annoys me to hell

Ok i know its not my net but whoever just tried to connect to me as the 4th user, caused us to crash and we lost a few fruit trades. So im going to get into the habit of saving often, prolly everytime a trade is made or someone asks or every 5mins or so.

I apologise if this becomes anoying but losing items via trade and then disconnects is even more anoying.

Got any tips to maximise efficiency?
1. Get rid of the other bugs in the island to provide maximum spawnage for the palm bugs. Fruit beetles, wharf roaches, any of them, scare them away (EXCEPT the scarab beetle, rainbow beetle or giant stag beetele, you'll want to catch them)
2. Never rush. The hercules beetle and golden stag are super sentitive to noise. Just walking towards them will scare them away.

What should I do about the butterflies? Net them for maximum spawnage also?

Alrighty, first evening trip to the island scored me 103,300. The second one scored me 296,000. That's enough for now. :)

I have NEVER seen a tarentula yet in the game. And yet I know they're supposed to be out...
Game must be keeping them away because of my phobia...
My first (and only) encounter with a tarantula:
  1. What's that moving shadow?
  2. OMFG its a tarantula (Nearly throw his 3DS across the room)
  3. Run and capture it.
  4. REMOVE THAT FROM MY FACE!!!
  5. Ewww...He put it in his pocket...
  6. Learn that it has a value of 8000 bells.
  7. Give it to Blarther
  8. Blarther say eww a bug then put it in his pocket,f*ck logic.
