ROM Hack AltWFC with 3DS and physical DS Carts?

I never tried out Nintys DS Online Service because I never had a DSi (DS Lite didn't support my Wi-Fi)

I know that AltWFC works with cheat codes but I'm not sure how. I know about Nitrohax but I don't know if it would work on a 3DS with physical DS Carts.
