Allow gifs as avatars?

Like the title says. Before the board update, we could use gifs as avatars. Now we can't. Is there any chance we could get that option back?

    The immersion part is the only thing I like about vr that's why I returned Nreals too much open space made them off putting cool concept for sunglasses kind of expected it but wanted to try them at least
