why not just get a ps2 (you can get one for under $50 at any pawn shop.)and use the swap trick method to play backups?
i modded my fat ps2 with a flip top lid just for that reason.
if anything the N64 emulator needs to get a release where it works at a decent speed, cuz after all you can't so easily back the n64 games up and play them on the system like you can the psx.
