The problem was only with older 2.1 cards (clipped about 2yrs old). They apparently have a larger bootloader section. Team Acekard did not report this to the AKAIO devs, like many of their past changes. I can recall a time when the 2i was bricked by Smiths because Acekard didn't tell him about a change they had made. This really is not Norm's fault.

The problem, again, only affected older 2.1 cards.

If you have the release do not use it. Everyone is sorry about this, we try to catch all bugs and this one got by us because no one tested on an old 2.1. No one even thought that this could have been an issue. Norm is looking into a possible unbricker for the 2.1.

I am going to close this thread for now because there is no reason to flame AKAIO, Normmatt or Smiths over this mistake. Shit happens. You take that risk when you use Flash Kits. Also the 1.8.2 upload was removed so there is no reason to discuss a release that no longer exists.

My son will be pleased as it allegedly fixes the original Peppa Pig game not working on 1.8.1 (though I don't see it mentioned in the changelog).

What I am also wondering is ... the change log says it fixes "Donkey Kong v Mario - Mini-land mayhem". I have been playing this without issue on 1.8.1 for weeks ??

Though I did make the, possibly stupid, mistake of immediately doing a wifi update of the loaders .... and every game promptly stopped working - don't even attempt to load.

EDIT: I don't know about anyone else but I did a fresh install and I get the following messages:

The skin Adv.EvoR can't be found
Adv.EvoR couldnt be found either
Please delete globalsettings.ini
and restore Adv.EvoR theme.

I've done a check and Adv.EvoR is there and I have no idea where globalsettings.ini is..
