Akaio has always been great but the quality of the Acekard is suspect. It's the only slot 1 card I've ever heard can get bricked. Then some of them need the paper fix. I suppose you can't complain for the money

Explain exactly why you need it. I can't think of a good reason why someone would want it.

to brick someones acekard and then charge them $5 to fix it for them
you can fix the ak2/i with another flashcart by loading the update

cant you just run the bootstrap to fix it
like you run the bootstrap using another flashcart and then putting ur ak2/i in and fixing it

im too lazy to take my acekard out and then sticking the microsd in my pc and then putting the 1.8.2 in it and then bricking it and then taking my dstwo microsd and putting the bootstrap in and then putting it in my ds and running and then sticking my ak2i in my ds and then fixing it and then typing my results in and .... then.........................

edit: i forgot to mention that i found the akaio 1.8.2 that bricks ur ak2i

Surely that only applies to the AceKard2i? Not the AceKard2 or AceKard2.1.

Read what he said. AK2.1 The AK2.1 does NOT have an updatable bootstrap like the AK2i.

Read what he said. AK2.1 The AK2.1 does NOT have an updatable bootstrap like the AK2i.

update and that fixes it

update and that fixes it

can be used to fixed the 2.1

If you run the DSi update on an AK2.1 you will, for sure, brick you're card. YOU CANNOT UPDATE THE AK2.1 BOOTLOADER WITH A 1.4.1 UPDATE FOR THE AK2i. *rant over*
You CAN use an AK2.1 to update an AK2i, but if you are presented with banner brick for the AK2.1, there is no way to fix it with current tools.

Read the file name does it say ak2ifw_update_141_DSL.nds or ak2.1fw_update_141_DSL.nds? It says AK2i. So that means its for the AK2i ONLY. You can use the 2.1 to update an 2i but the update can never be applied to a 2.1.
