so, i currently have the oem network adapter for my ps2. i have a 300gb drive that is all set up and working. im looking into have a bit more space for movies and was looking at some sata network adapters. my only question is how would you set the sata drive to master? or does it even matter with an aftermarket network adapter.

the HDD has a sticker with the instruction.
this, if you are using an IDE hard drive

if using an sata to IDE adapter, very likely you don't need to setup any jumper thing.
or in that case if you are using a aftermarket network adapter with sata alraedy, you don't need to do anything...
it doesn't make sense theese sata adapters having such a setting.

Usually SATA doesn't have a master setting. But being IDE, as long as the drive is set to master on it's own jumper, it should be fine.
