Hacking Acekard2 and Pokemon Black Cheats

I am going to say this up front, I don't know much about Acekard, how to use all it's functions, etc. My boyfriend got it for me over a year ago and has since helped me with everything that he can (game management, cheat updates, etc.). But recently we've come across an issue we can't seem to fix.

We updated the usrcheat.dat with the latest info and I went to load my Pokemon Black with cheats enabled... but the cheats don't work. The rest of the cheats are working fine, especially for the older games I have loaded onto the card.

Tech Info (as best as I know):

Acekard2i (version? 1.8.6a - as far as I know)
Kingston Micro (S?) 8GB card inserted (sorry, I'm reading it off the card itself...)

What do I do, step for step to get these cheats to work?

(PS I've just joined so I'm sorry if this is in the wrong area or if there is another thread for this -looked but didn't see)

Ok, I did that, the cheats are still not working.

EDIT: Turned off my system, reloaded, tried the rebuild, reloaded the cheats and we have it working! Thank you so much!
