Ok, i'm setting my files up ahead of time for my Acekard 2.1

Ok so i already got the formatter.msi

And i got AKAIO folder.

How do I update cheat database? (I checked the setup guide but it had an empty spoiler)

Where do I put applications? Skins? Rom's? And i've noticed this http://gbatemp.net/t99540-custom-icons-for-akaio for icons, do I put these in the same folder as the rom's?

Thanks in advance,
Daxter

Okay so first off, download the SDFormatter from here. Run it and format your MicroSD card with it. Once done, take the AKAIO archive you downloaded (hopefully, v1.8.1. If not, go here) and extract it. Copy the __aio & akmenu4.nds to the root of your MicroSD. If you go to Start --> Computer --> Double click on the MicroSD, that is the root.

AKAIO has a built in file browser so where ever you put your stuff, you can browse to it. However, the __aio folder is hidden by default so don't put anything you need to run in there. You put can ROMs in any new folder, you can call it whatever you'd like. Applications do the same, in any folder you'd like. Some work better in the root though.

The cheat database is found here on GBATemp. AKAIO uses the USRCHEAT.DAT so download and extact that one. Once obtained, copy the updated USRCHEAT.DAT to SD:\__aio\cheats.

Skins can be downloaded and placed in SD:\__aio\ui.

Those custom icons are for homebrew, or applications. Download those icons and place the image file in the same place of the application and make sure they have the same name. If done so correctly, the new icon should override the existing one in the AKAIO file browser and you should see the new icon.

Thank you very much, I'm trying to get setup all my files so i can just drag and drop when it arrives.

This is a very good description and has been so helpful.

Thanks,
-Daxter

Ok here's the current setup of folders on my desktop
-Akiao
|__Aio
|akmenu4.nds
|loader changelog
|readme_AKIAO
-Apps
|Bunjalloo Browser
|DSCovered
|DSHobro Browser
|DSReader
|MoonShell
|Spinal Movie Player
-Panasonic_SDFormatter_v3Beta (just putting it here so i dont lose it)
-Roms

Is all this right?
And all of these apps compatible?
I wasn't sure if my ds would run better on Bunjalloo browser or DSHobro..And if DSCovered and MoonShell would work.

Thanks,
-Daxter

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
