Hacking Acekard 2i update

I have an acekard 2i on my DSI (1.4u). My son accidentally hit the update file from acekard. The file you update on a DS LIte in order for your card to play on the DSI. When it was updating on his dsi he turned off the power. Did this ruin his card or dsi because the card does not work anymore. Is there a way to fix this?

I never had this problem but according to this thread the first post states

NOTE: the dsl one can be used to salvage any bricked ak2i's caused by this update but must be used on a dsl or ds phat, the chance of bricking should be very low but you'd best have a fully charged battery or be plugged into mains before updating just in case.

So I can only guess that if you re-try the update using a DSLite/Phat & the 'ak2ifx_update_14_DSL' file you may be able to fix it

THat is exactly what I was thinking. Hopefully that works.
