Hi guys,
good news for those who got the "neverending talking Miles": Mrichston seem to have fixed the bug so i updated the patch to final v2.
Thanks Mrichston for being still here and making all this work for us :)

Are you sure, you don't still have beta patch (one that says beta in title screen+episodes)? Which patch you used (beat or xdelta)?

If you use saves in shared post, easiest way is to change dsv to sav and use "file > import backup memory"

I previously used the BEAT patch. Now I've downloaded the second version of the game and used the xdelta patch (I don't know, just to be sure XD). I'm pretty sure I'm not getting anything like "beta" in my screen.
I also tried renaming the .dsv files to .sav. So I loaded the rom on DeSmuME 0.9.9 and did the import backup memory. I've trying loading some of them but it doesn't seem to work with no one, I just got back the to title screen with nothing new. But I noticed that when I tried to import the backups, I got this "65658 bytes - ERROR" on the "selected file" info.

Try "advanscene database" when importing battery file.

You could try import saves with your original japanese rom. If save don't work with that, your rom might be faulty.

You can also go to your emulator's battery folder. Put dsv there and name it romname.dsv.
Then just open emulator and open rom.

If you get to the fingerprint part in the 5th case and have problems with the microphone part, open the menu and hold your finger on the microphone icon and blow until the dust is gone. That should help since I did this with Kindle Fire HD 6 and it worked great!

This latest patch results in a 44 MB file (previous nonfinished beta gave me a 68 MB file). I cannot apply any AP patch on the new 44 MB file, neither with xdelta nor with beat. Removing the AP with a hex editor (values on page 1) did not work either. I cannot launch it on my DSTTi on which beta case 1-5 worked perfectly fine.

Please help me out.

Guys, I need to say I'm sorry for all the trouble I caused.
It turned out I could solve this issue very easily. And it was dumb of course...
The thing is I was using the x86 version of the emulator. I just realized that a while ago and gave the x64 a try. So every tip you gave me worked just fine and I'm back in business!
I am so sorry for this... it's very embarrassing. And thank you for your help!

I downloaded the v2 version of the patch and I am still having an issue with case 2. After being asked what the security footage showed, and selecting the correct option, I still get the error where Edgeworth's text box becomes empty and the game locks. I am running on an actual DS with a dstwo flashcart, if that helps.

EDIT: Oh, whoops, it turns out the new version was updated yesterday, my fault for not looking at time stamps. Will download and get, then!

After downloading the latest patch, I was able to proceed past case 2 and have beaten the game without any further issues. Well done on such an excellent fan translation and I thank everyone for the hard work that was put into it!

I don't have any flash card, so I can test ap thing. But if you still have old rom and
you know how to use Dslazy, you could try to take bin files from jpn/com folder in beta rom
and move them to new rom's unpacked folder. Texts are in spt.bin, so don't replace that.
There are some minor text changes in images too, but only few compared to beta rom.
That operation should make rom bigger, if it is only size that prevents it working.

Alternatively you can try extracting files in whole rom with this tool:

And rebuild bin folders with that. Probably you only need to rebuild few bigger bins.

Try encrypting header (search eNDryptS_Advanced_v1.2)

xdelta3: target window checksum mismatch: XD3_INVALID_INPUT

Getting this all the time, am not able to apply the AP patch, not even on a virtual winxp. Even asked a buddy of mine to try it on his PC and he got the same error.

EDIT: Great, I accidentally encrypted/decrypted the clean ROM, now I cannot even patch that, even after reversing the process.

Anyone have trouble starting the 3rd case? After the Katherine and Jeffereys intro and the tv pans out it goes to black....

EDIT: Found out you have to get desmume 9.9 to make it work. False alarm.
