If this actually works it'll be a godsend, I'm on 10.1 and don't wanna lose menuhax/browserhax which I still haven't triggered the nag, and I want to buy Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, and of course there's the upcoming Smash patch.

If you were to release earlier I'd say it'd be better to do some kind of closed beta and only make an open release on the day of the Smash patch so we won't risk having it patched before. Or just wait for the Smash patch entirely. I'm pretty sure people who want the Black Friday discounts could just buy the games from Nintendo's site and have them sitting in their "Redownloadable Games" until the eShop spoof is released (or well, they update). They'd have to wait a bit to play them of course, but imo it's for a good cause.

Mmmm spoofing too get access to the eshop is in no way legitimate, but yeah your point is valid enough. Blocking users from giving you their money isn't exactly a great business model, but look at it from the perspective of a big business. They really aren't losing any amount of money that will hurt them, and they get to keep their systems secure. I don't agree with them blocking the eshop spoof btw. Just saying it's fine for them to do it.

well by discounting games on eShop and all that stuff that needs updating, they are making two birds one rock
and homebrew makes them lose money, as that means they are selling less developer hardware

Sometimes...i get the feeling that Nintendo wants us to pirate...-_-' Good job Nintendo, now I seriously think about buying an exploitable 3ds and sell my almost (apart from menuhax) fully legitimate 9.9 one...-_-'

I stopped using my other 3DS which was on 10.1 and bought a <9.2 3DS XL specifically for this reason. :p

I thought you could only buy game voucher in Nintendo's website and you have to redeem it in the device(3DS game use 3DS, WiiU game use WiiU)?

Nope, you can redeem codes in this site independently of your console, and if you're on latest firmware they download automatically in sleep mode, but either way they go do your Redownloadable Software and you'll have them secured, and you can download them as soon as you got eShop access (be by updating or spoofing). I did that to redeem my AC:NL from Club Nintendo Platinum rewards, while I didn't want to update for not losing the browser exploit back in 9.5. That site is also commonly used for speedclaiming codes from limited demos that are randomly given out by people, since it's just a ctrl+C/ctrl-V. :P

There's also an option to buy it directly into your NNID but I don't know how it works. But I can guarantee codes work flawlessly if you use that site.

If not mistaken, to buy eshop game codes, i need a US credit card. Sadly, i don't have one.

why Nintendo chose to segregate WiiU and 3DS eshop? I keep my WiiU updated every time...

Yeah I'm in same situation, I can only buy from the in-game eShop. Luckily I'm not really interested anything from the Black Friday sales.

Guys, I'm still working as hard as I can for a release! Juggling school and this is getting hard because I have exams in a few days, but I'm going to keep working hard!
Don't let your studies fall behind just to try and please some random people online. Good luck on your exams!

Studies are very important, but so are you guys to me! The one thing I love about this community is that we all help each other out! Now it's my turn to contribute! :)

In all honesty, I would not be suprised if nintendo just smashed this eshop spoof in a week. I hope that doesn't happen though!
