The fact that the system reboots to Download Play is really interesting. I wonder why it acts so.
when you run ninjhax 2.5, it usually runs as Download Play (check activity log after using homebrew for a while!). this is probably related.

Well, it really looks so, but we don't have the ninjhax 2.5 source released, so reverse-engineering it is the only choice to understand how it works.
And HANS looks to be abusing of the DLP service, too. I thought it was only HANS-related.

Does it? I don't find anything about Download Play on my activity log :/
I'm on rxtools (10.3 emunand) with yellows8's homebrew loader cia, so might be different than using other entry points, I dunno.

Or is it only when running stuff on HANS?

Tells me 1 hour play time on yellows8's homebrew loader though :p so probably that works differently lol

if I open svdt without the .xml, it opens Download Play.
if I open braindump without the .xml, it dumps Download Play.
if I open HANS without the .xml, it plays Download Play.

I don't know if it's emunand, but it's done this to me with ironhax and maybe oot3dhax.

not to mention: http://i.imgur.com/OdJxsvQ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/LosVlZx.jpg

Actually I've never actually started up download play manually on my 3DS, so that could be why it doesn't show up at all in my activity log. It hasn't actually been added as a title in my list lol.

try doing that, and then see if anything happens when you use *hax 2.5.

I do have an hour of play time on yellows8's HBL loader though, and i know for a fact that I didn't start the loader often enough for it to add up to 1 hour play time :p it barely runs for a fraction of a second before running the payload.
I'll try that though, see what it does. I'll try with oot3dhax afterwards.

Yeah I started Download Play, it added it to my list of titles, and it has 11:30 play time and 56 times played :p hehe
So it might only count when you start up an xml title. I only use HBL for svdt and HANS, hehe

Now I'm really curious as to what Friends List shows as the game currently being played when someone looks at my friend card while I'm doing stuff in homebrew launcher. Good thing I have a second 3DS, so I can check that out.

This is what happened with my Friend Card when I was playing Mario Kart 7 online through Hans (sorry about the potato pic):

I tried changing region to the system settings some time ago, then I set everything back. I noticed some things:
- Miiverse is in Japanese
- alle the games in the Friend List have Japanese titles
- the Save Data Transfer Tool is completely in Japanese
- some content inside the Mii Plaza is in Japanese

Not a problem for me but I wonder why setting those back to EUR and/or EN has no effect

to find the shop server ip/server address, couldn't you just monitor your router traffic while the 3ds is connecting to the eshop?

Yeah, I tried it and it just shows that I'm playing hblauncher_loader v1.0 to anyone who is online haha. They'd probably be like, what?
