What I use is the SanDisk MobileMate reader (Link to Amazon). It's small, it's really cheap, it works, and it's fast (2MB/s transfer rate at average with my standard speed USB 2.0 connection). I've been using it for 2 years without any problems, and I'm pretty sure it also comes with a lifetime warranty.

Oh! Didn't know SanDisk made something like that. Nice and cheap. Will need to add it to my list of stuff to buy. Thanks YayMii.

2MB/s? That's pretty slow. I've had 22MB/s before with a £10 8GB MicroSDHC card with a £1 USB reader from the poundshop.

The Sandisk readers seem popular and reasonably reliable though. The original card readers which Acekard use to supply are supposed to be a little faster, although from posts on here they only see, to last a few months.

Personally I'd get a decent branded multicard reader, which displays all the indivual card slots as a seperate drive. I've seen a few of the cheap reders only display a single drive at a time, like the one I got from the poundshop which after a few weeks corrupted all my cards.

I have a multi-card reader, but it seems to be rather slow, hence why I showed interest in the microSD reader. Would like to get a ExpressCard card reader (much transfer speeds), but I will (hopefully) be getting a new MBP soon, which doesn't come with ExpressPort anymore.

It does come with SD card reader (they replace ExpresCard for THIS?!?) so I will probably just stick with microSD-to-SD adapter. Having a microSD reader only makes things simpler (don't have to pull out adapter, which you can misplace easily).

Don't flip out on me for double-posting, but it seems our friends at Lifehacker are expanding on their DS hacking article. This post/article focuses on DS homebrew.

It is far more informed then the last article, directly people to place like your own FileTemp to download homebrew apps like Moonshell, Colors!, QuakeDS, and a number of emulators, among others. I added a list of a few homebrew games I recently found in a post with the #addition tag. Anyone here who can think of other stuff to add, by all means go for it. We must share our knowledge with the uninformed/noobs/hethans/insert other synonyms here!
