Are you sure an actual update was performed or did it just check for one...

This wouldn't be the first time someone has mistaken that for an update.

I literally watched in awe as the blue bar slid across the screen so yeah it updated somehow

I'm fairly certain that it does that even when it isn't updating (eg. checking for updates).

In the small chance this is actually what the update is for, shouldn't it make figuring out what exactly the loophole is easier? And also what was needing to be fixed?

I had 3.3U before it installed and when it finnished it still said 3.3U I don't have a chipped wii nor do I have homebrew installed so the only thing I noticed was if there was or is now a nintendo logo in the top right hand corner of the everybody votes channel and no this isn't a joke

I still have 3.2E and I'm not planning on updating anytime soon, I disconnected my Wii months ago.
I don't need it. No online games that make it worth...
