but if you have a choice why not go for type 6?

by the way, what brand is the card?

It's not too slow, but loading times, copy/pasting times etc, and some games might slow down. But very few of them, if any do.

From my experience, you can't judge a card just by it's class. I've seen Class 2 cards from one brand outperform Class 6 cards from another. It's mostly trial and error but stick with the better brands and you'll have no problems. I have a Sandisk Class 2 and it's faster than any of my other Class 4 or 6 cards from other brands in both reading and writing.

Awesome. I have a SanDisk 4 GB Class 2 Micro SDHC card!

Forgot to mention that there are speed differences between the same classes of the same brand.

eg. Class 2 for a 4GB will be different than a Class 2 for 8GB (I think the 4GB has faster access times but I forget) Also, there are different versions of Class 2 (at least for Sandisk). The older ones are slower while the newer ones are faster. It can get a bit confusing and this is why you can't say for certain that a particular class will be a certain speed.

Class counts, not region.

Not necessarily the case, especially with popular brands like Sandisk and Kingston. Know why? Because they are all manufactured in either Taiwan, Japan, and a few other place...but no China. So if you get a Kingston/Sandisk from China then it's a fake and will probably run alot slower than a one from Japan with the same class.
